Student internships are about to see a shift in direction. With almost every large sector of the economy taking a hit by the crisis, it's easy for most of the country to overlook the impact the crisis has on the student internship programs and pre-professional career opportunities usually available to students. To no dismay, internship opportunities have taken a hit, and the students of course, are the ones bearing the force. Now, students are left in a limbo between the pre-professional internship offer and the hourly-wage job at the local shop that contributes little to none to their professional career.
