I think that this whole so-called ‘EMERGENCY’ will, when looked back from some distant point in the future, turn out to have been one of the cleverest moves to plunder the US treasury we have ever seen! AMAZING!

They need to temporarily, and permenantly stop funding to Acorn regardless of the old or new bills, or legal technicalities. Hope you’re right. But I wouldn’t bet on it. Any chance of resuming funding under any circumstances should be opposed while the ’sleight of hands folks’ are cleverly doing their thing.

Except then again, congress would have to either pass another CR, or the Federal Gov’t would be shut down. The only way they could be refunded is if congress passed a CR excluding this clause, or they were somehow included in the 2010 budget. Seriously, take a civics class or something. It’s this kind of BS that Bachmann portrays as fact that solidifies her status as a moron for the rest of us.

The Constitution doesn’t just allow the census, it requires it. That, however, doesn’t spill over into a “right” to collect personal information about us. They can come to my door, and I’ll tell them there is ONE person residing here. That’s all they’re getting from me. Remember, the Constitution also provides freedom from self-incrimination. Use it.

“Continuing Resolution” – another way for Congress to demonstrate that they’re too frikkin’ LAZY to do their jobs! You could pull 535 names out of the phone book at random, and those folks would do a better job of running the country, and for lots less money, too.

Michele Bachmann is an unmitigated idiot. The provision that she’s referring to is part of a continuing resolution attached to HR 2918. The continuing resolution was put into place to keep the federal government operating at 2009 levels until the 2010 budget can be passed. Everything in this CR expires on October 31st. The most disturbing thing about this video, is that she clearly doesn’t know what a continuing resolution is. . .

As an ardent admirer of Michelle Bachmann I’m going to give her something special. A copy of the constitution! She always wants to know where things are in the constitution, so I know she will appreciate it.

However, she’s really going to like it since I’m going to run the constituion through my word processor to amend it. To amend the constituion so that no one is required to answer census questions if Acorn is doing the asking. I love it and know she will too.
